FAMILY TYPES; Nature Spirits, Metal Empire, Dark Area, Unknown

APPEARANCE;
Terra is a lean, athletic teenager descendent from Markovia, a country said to be somewhere in Europe. She has blonde hair – long, to her waist – that often gets in her blue eyes. By all appearances, she’s an unthreatening teenage girl, though her arms and legs have small but firm muscles from years on the run. She’s good at running and strong for her build, but she is still just human, despite her geokinetic powers. She’s not very tall, standing perhaps about 5’3”, and she’s only just started to develop curves.

PERSONALITY;
I'm not a hero. I'm not out to save the world.
First and foremost, Terra is insecure. No matter what it’s about, her powers, her past, where she fits in. Though at this point she has, more or less, accepted her new life as a normal girl, abandoned all of her past, she still has shaking doubts. Despite that, Terra is happiest in a relatively normal setting, as a civilian.

That’s not to say she wears this on her sleeve. Her insecurities are buried deep inside her, and only those who know her best (her brother; Beast Boy, to an extent; perhaps her new friends at school) can see through to them. Outwardly, Terra is upbeat and cheerful. She’s got an odd sense of humor and used to enjoy the outdoors a great deal. This may be a result, however, of her years on the road; she got used to sleeping outside and grew to enjoy it. Regardless, Terra puts on a happy front that can only be broken when inquiries into her past are made, upon which she gets defensive.

She possesses a strong desire to be liked and to fit in, a direct result of her insecurities with where she belongs and her years of losing control of her powers, presumably hurting those around her. Terra wants affection more than anything, be it romantic or otherwise. Her desire to fit in leads her to do things that she shouldn’t always do, such as urging Beast Boy to keep the secret of her out-of-control powers or her eventual tutelage under Slade.

Because of her reluctance to accept her past, Terra has developed a habit of trying to become the opposite of what she used to be – hence her hating the outdoors, claiming to be allergic to anchovies. She tries to become the antithesis of the girl from Markovia, but ultimately has a hard time at this.

In the end, Terra is a girl who is trying desperately to escape her past and shapes the way she acts around this. She holds deep regrets about what she has done and still blames herself for Jump City almost being destroyed. Her happiness, however, is not a complete sham; she loves her new life, for it is the first time she has felt completely and totally accepted, even though she had to create a complete new identity for this to happen. There is still a lot of the old Terra in her, the girl who laughed at odd jokes and, at times, played around with the Titans.

SAMPLES
FIRST PERSON;
4.) What ability would you most like to have?
Can’t I say none? I don’t really like…abilities, I mean, for myself. For everyone else, go wild, go ahead, but I’d rather just be a normal kid. …You weren't talking about powers huh? Er. I guess. …It’s always nice to get a do-over button.

5.) You have one choice. That choice will result in either the end of the world or it will save it. Which way would you go?
‘Course I’d say save it. No way I’m gonna end the world. Despite some…things I’m better now. Different. Even if it’s fire and brimstone for me, I’d save it, every time. …Whoops, that wasn't part of the question. Sorry, I’m not too good at these.

6.) What would make up your ideal friend?
Someone who’s brave 'nd kind, who gives second chances but isn't…too quick to forgive. Who’s real trusting, but lets me know when I screw up, ‘cause I will screw up. But…someone who lets me make my own choices? Jeez, this is all about me. Ideal friend? Someone who’s not afraid to stand up to the people doing wrong, even if it’s their own friend. …And someone who’s funny too. Yeah, there’s that.
